Lunarpages currently utilizes the latest
version of the CPanel 5 control panel. The
features are pretty much the same to other
CPanel, such as mailbox modification, password
changes, ftp login modifications, statistical
information, and so on. CPanel doesn’t
offer any web-building tool, but for web
hosting administration it offers the user
an easy and intuitive interface along with
powerfully packed features.

Effectiveness
Despite Bluehost’s great features,
it does cost more than the other companies
on this list in a monthly basis. The package
will run you $9.95/mo + $30 set up fee.
If you prepay for 24 months, you do get
the set up fee waived and only pay an average
of $6.95 per mo.
Customer Service
Bluehost offers TOLL FREE telephone, chat
and email support in their help section
which includes FAQ’s; with the option
of submitting your own questions with ‘ticket’
number, that is used as a reference number
for better organization.
In February 2006, Bluehost will introduce
24/7 Toll free service to their customers.
Current hours are from 6AM to 9PM (Mountain
time).
Control Panel
BlueHost uses Cpanel, a popular control
panel used by many hosts. Some functions
accessible through the control panel include
account, email and database management and
web protection/security and statistics.
These are the main functions and other would
include password changing, billing info,
web stats and more!
The only drawback is that
this control panel only works on a Linux/Unix
environment. Most of the time, this would
not affect you, the user, but if you develop
in the Microsoft environment, using Microsoft
tools, you will need to use a windows based
OS. If you are using Windows, this would
not make a difference, but IF you use MS
SQL or VB scripting or .net development,
you will need to use a Windows account.
